Snow Days...2011

Well as you've heard, the snow just kept coming! 6 snow days in all....4 last week and 2 this week! The kids went back to school today, Friday, and now It's the Weekend! Yipee! Really, it's been great. We've had a great time not having to get up early, do homework, run from one game to another practice to another thing and again and again and again! But, let's be honest! It's time to move on! Here is just a little peek at what snow days get you...pink pancakes, pretty porches, and sometimes....broken bones :(
Read on and know that we wish all of you could of been snowed in here with us....we love and miss you all!

What a trooper!

Well, here is the proof. Since we have had all those snow days something was bound to happen!
Unfortunately for Kate, she was the victim of a "snowboarding" accident!
Jack took off all the wheels on a good amount of his skateboards so the kids could snowboard down the hills! A great time was had by all until Kate had a great ride down to then only fall and catch herself with both hands. Not good. I was sure she had broken both wrists...something I was trying to figure out how to explain to people when they saw her with 2 casts on her arms! Thank God she didn't. After x-rays they determined that only one arm had a "buckle fracture" and she has a splint (that she can take on and off) for 4 weeks.
She is still quite a bit sore in both wrists...but we are really glad this was the extent of her injuries! Lesson learned...... hopefully!

Don't let the picture fool you....this smile was for the camera...only.
What a trooper!

Daddy Daughter Dance 2011

The Annual Daddy Daughter Dance was to quote Kate, "The BEST DANCE EVER!"
When asked why she said it was because she really spent the whole time dancing with Daddy!
Hard to believe for some of you I know, but Greg is a great dancer to tunes like "Firework" and "Tonights going to be a Good Night"! Especially when a 10, almost 11 year old is tugging at you to go for it! Here are a couple of pics before they left.....Mike Powers tried to no avail to get Greg on video dancing...but all we saw were his hands go up immediately in front of the iPhone! Oh well...Kate knows, and that's all that matters!
